Spectral analysis -
LifeLite® full spectrum daylight fluorescent tubes

The things that are crucial to the quality of a light source are the continual progression and breadth of the spectrum, the colour rendering index (CRI) and the colour temperature. Here the ideal is to attune the product to natural sunlight, as this has been our light source for thousands of years and is proven to have a positive effect on our health and wellbeing.

You can see the results of many years of research and development work by LifeEnergy Systems in the diagram on the right.
Both the spectrum of sunlight, as measured over Germany at midday in summer under a cloudless sky, and the spectrum of LifeLite® full spectrum daylight fluorescent tubes displays a continual progression containing small amounts of EV-A and UV-B together with the visible colours (300 – 800 nanometres) in almost equal proportions.
The colour rendering index (CRI) of 96 and colour temperature of 5,800 Kelvin are also very close to the values for sunlight (CRI 99, 5850 °K).

In contrast, there are gaps in the spectrum of an ordinary fluorescent tube and both its spectral progression and colour rendering differ considerably from that of natural sunlight.
